How Did I Get Here?

How Did I Get Here?

I year ago I answered a Craigslist Ad for an Assistant Tennis coach for Girls Tennis at Pineview High School. Like normal I was a slow starter but a strong finisher and by the end of the season my singles players were able to single handedly pull off a state championship which is very rare.  Since then, I was introduced to Clark Hancock at Bloomington Tennis and I started helping with the many tennis tournaments that he holds every year as a site director which I found incredibly fun! Of course all this tennis was volunteer work and took up quite a bit of time.

Then in January, Clark ask me to come teach group sessions at Bloomington about the same time that Pineview Boys Tennis coach ask if I would help out with the boys tennis team.  I couldn’t help myself and said I would do both!  Since that time, I have grown to love these kids at Bloomington and I’ve been with them on 2 tournament trips one to Salt Lake City and one to Denver for sectionals.  It has been so much fun and I even get paid!  Well, here we are 3 weeks away from another high school girls tennis season and I am the head coach now for both the girls and the boys season if I want it.

So how did I get and where is it taking me?  I have no idea but I’m having a blast so I’m going to let it ride a bit longer.
